Hemal PatelLumina has been awesome at providing a great service overall from getting all the permit to replacing roof to installing our solar to PTO. They have been on point on everything. Christopher Richardson, the project coordinator has been a great help throughout the process and answering all the questions. It's been two months since we got our system online and looking at all the production makes me super happy cutting down the electricity costs. They also gave us a great deal in terms of warranty and services. I will definitely recommend Lumina Solar for your solar installations.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by Hemal Patel
Brandon WernerI had my solar installed in June of 2023. The whole process was seamless from start to finish. My sales rep Jack Wood was very knowledgeable and as helpful as he could be. The install crew was done with everything in about 6-7 hours in 1 day! They sent a 4 man crew and everybody had a job and knew it well. A week later they sent a final inspector from the company to meet with me to go over any questions/concerns I had and to also meet the township inspector to go over the install and train him on products used! I had 1 small concern about my panel alignment so they sent out the crew the next week to raise the corner of the panels to level them up. My only complaint would be that my production was a about 10% under the projection for the year but obviously that is why it is called a projection. Outside of those 2 things I mentioned I have had no other issues. I have done and will continue to refer anyone who asks about my system to Lumina!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by Brandon Werner
Michael MarchandLumina was great. Had lots of discussions with the sales people, and the installers about how to get this done. End result is great. We love it. Thanks!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by Michael Marchand
Jessica OttWe researched many solar companies and received quotes from several. We decided to use Lumina because of their price and the product itself was better. Our sales rep, Courtney, was amazing to work with and very responsive. The entire process start to finish was very easy. Our solar panels were installed in March 2024 and so far we are very pleased with their production. April was our first full month using solar and we haven't paid our electric company for electric since March. We have produced enough electric with our solar panels. I am sure in the winter we will still have an electric bill, but if I only have to pay for electric for 4 or so months out of the year I am totally cool with that. We were paying Met-Ed $450+/month for electric! We are definitely pleased with our decision to go solar and use Lumina!! I highly recommend Courtney 🙂.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by Jessica Ott
Laura FondiMy husband and I love our new solar panels from Lumina. Our experience was positive from the start. Andrew answered all our questions and was there to continue to support us through the whole processs. My husband and I were determined to not have conduits on the house and the team really had to work to make that happen. We could not be happier with the results. We highly recommend Lumina!!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by Laura Fondi
JoAnne TeelCourtney was great to work with. She was courteous, kind and patient with our long list of questions and fears. She didn’t hesitate in responding. She is positive to your company.Thank you!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by JoAnne Teel
Bob SteckbeckOur project for moving to solar energy involved six different companies who install solar panels. Using the information I learned from my personal research on the topic, a questionnaire I configured to pull out the details from each company, and a spreadsheet where I was able to store both objective and subjective information I was able to get a quick summary of the information and data I received from each company and do a visual comparison. Knowing which manufacturers produce the best solar panels and microinverters, and which products the installation companies use in their systems are certainly major factors in making the final decision. But reading detailed reviews from their clients and discussing the facts with the sales person should play an important part in the process. I found Christopher Richardson, our sales person, to be both knowledgeable and forthcoming in the information he provided. After looking at all the pieces from the potential installers I found that Lumina stood out both in terms of using top-rated equipment and simplifying the process through to the time of activation. My work as a customer ended at the point at which we selected Lumina and signed our contract. Afterwards their team carried the project to site survey, obtaining all necessary permits, installing the panels and electrical equipment, working with our local power supplier, and setting up warranties and certificates. In our observation we found that all employees of Lumina (salesman, system engineers and designers, schedulers, installation and inspection teams and project administrator) worked together seamlessly. We are now truly basking in the sun and seeing our solar production meet and exceed our electrical consumption.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by Bob Steckbeck
Andy GaynorI had a fairly complex 16.2kw ground mount system recently installed. Everyone at Lumina was highly professional, from the initial sales presentation with Philip, to the project manager Cory working with us on details, the survey team, the trenching team, all the installers Josh I believe was our lead amd was phenomenal and very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. I also appreciated the work ethic, each team worked diligently to make sure each phase of the project was completed as quickly as possible. Once our installation was completed Rob came out to meet with the permit inspector for my local township and ensured that everything went smoothly. Having a dedicated team who I felt comfortable with this type of investment was paramount in my decision to choose what solar company I went with, and Lumina did not disappoint! I'm confident that I will enjoy my new energy independence, and if there are any hiccups Lumina has my back!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by Andy Gaynor
DC-Mike SchenLumina Solar, my Project/Sales Manager Matt, and their installation/office team came through nearly perfectly for all aspects of my recent rooftop residential solar installation. First and foremost Matt was a great pleasure to work with and was on top of the project at all times. He is very competent and responsive! Their installation team did a great job and I have not had any concerns since. Be sure to thank them Matt! Their office team seemed to be the ones where I felt there were too many different people engaged as a result of how they segment responsibilities. A single office POC would have been preferred and ran more smoothly I think. Be prepared also because for me, from start to finish, this project took four plus months to complete, and would have likely taken longer if I had not keep up pressure on the office team…. Now, let the sun shine in!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by DC-Mike Schen
Michael BridgesGreat job! professional and courteous installation crew. Matt Dier was my wonderful point of contact guiding me every step of the way.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by Michael Bridges

The subtle art lies in capturing optimum sunshine while browsing the quirks of local weather and architectural nuances.

The Puzzle of Orientation and Tilt

What if I told you that a few degrees distinction in panel tilt could indicate the difference in between a power-packed year and a disappointing output? Chester County Pennsylvania's latitude suggests a tilt angle near 30-40 degrees, however do not rush-- elements like roof pitch, shading from towering trees, and even chimney shadows can considerably skew efficiency.

  • South-facing roofings are perfect, but east or west can still yield decent energy if enhanced.
  • Adjusting panel angles seasonally isn't practical for many homeowners, yet fixed installs need to be picked wisely.
  • Partial shading, even from a thin branch, triggers out of proportion drops in output-- microinverters or power optimizers can reduce this impact.
